The tawny frogmouth is a master of disguise and one of Australia’s most beloved nocturnal birds. Often mistaken for owls, they are actually more closely related to nightjars and are famous for their incredible camouflage. They perch completely still during the day, blending into tree branches so well they look like part of the bark.
Tawny frogmouths have large, wide frog-like mouths which they use to snatch up insects, spiders, worms, and even small frogs or mice at night. They are usually seen in pairs or family groups and mate for life, sharing parenting duties when raising their fluffy chicks. Gentle and endearing, tawny frogmouths are loved not just for their striking looks but also for their quirky, unbothered personalities.

Avoid exposing your earrings to water, salt, sun, lotions and makeup and do not wear whilst sleeping. Earrings are best stored in a dry room in a box or on a stand to avoid getting scratched.
