Chorizema cordatum known as the heart-leaf flame pea or kaly in the Noongar language, is a bushy evergreen shrub that grows in the moist eucalyptus forests of south-western W.A. It produces bright, two-tone pink and orange heart shaped flowers in late winter and spring, that resemble flames. Seen as a symbol of fertility, growth, love and passion.
